Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Where did the inspiration of Raindrop come from?
Answer: Raindrop was inspired by a Native American legend, the Raindrop Technique is a gentle massage application of key essential oils to the feet, back, and spine.
Question: What idea is the Raindrop based on?
Answer: The Raindrop Technique is based on the idea that many types of spinal curvature and misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. These pathogens cause inflammation, which contorts or disfigures the spinal column.
By integrating Vita Flex and massage, the anti-microbial power of essential oils brings the body into structural alignment.
Question: What problems can Raindrop help?
Answer: When it comes to poor posture, tight shoulders, back pain, knee pain, or spinal curvature, it can be a challenge to find a treatment that will bring the body's system into alignment. Raindrop Technique is a is a terrific aid in solving these problems and more.
During the years it has been practiced, Raindrop has resolved numerous cases of spinal curvature and chronic back pain. It has eliminated the need for back surgery for hundreds of people.
Question: Is it safe to use essential oils undiluted?
Answer: The use of undiluted essential oils in Raindrop is consistent with the French model for aromatherapy - which is the most extensively practiced and studied model in the world.
Essential oils are some of the most powerful inhibitors of microbes known and are an important new weapon in combating many types of tissue infection. A 2001 study at Weber State University found that oregano, thyme, peppermint, and basil exhibited strong anti-microbial effects against pathogens such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, a major cause of illness in immune-weakened patients. Many other studies confirm these findings.
The major effects of Raindrop are:
- Kill bacteria and viruses hibernating along the length of the spine
- Correct spinal curvature
- Relieve inflammation and pain
- Soothe the nervous system
- Unwind tight and sore muscles, tendons, and ligaments
- Balance and harmonize the energy and structural systems of the body
- Produce deep relaxation and facilitate the release of stubborn emotions
- Enhance immunity and cleanses the body of toxins
Question: Will Raindrop promote relaxation?
Answer: You will experience a sense of blissful rest during this treatment. Your practitioner applies the ancient Tibetan version of reflexology on your feet. As you slowly roll over, you experience the gentle splashes (like rain) as therapeutic grade essential oils are applied to your tired muscles and spine. These oils are then feathered in using a spine-tingling technique combined with massage. The oils are worked into your spine using light finger strokes to disperse the oils along your nervous system. You cannot get more pampered than this.
Question: Is Raindrop safe?
Answer: Raindrop has been used successfully in humans (adults and children), horses and other animals.
The technique should only be performed with the highest quality, pure, organic, therapeutic grade essential oils.
Because therapeutic grade essential oils help detoxify the body, patient and therapist should drink plenty of water before and after Raindrop.
We keep a bottle of pure, natural massage oil on hand. If the oils cause any irritation, which is normal, we apply this massage oil to soothe the heat.
Raindrop has been found to bring relief to those suffering from chronic illness. However, changes in the protocol are sometimes necessary. For instances, patients with MS need to have a cold towel applied instead of a hot one.
Raindrop is not a cure-all. A healthy balanced body is the result of a well-rounded program of exercise and diet.
A number of medical professionals throughout the US and Canada have adopted this technique in their clinical practices and publicized their positive experiences:
Ken Krieger, D.C., a chiropractor practicing in Scottsdate, AZ, states, "I believe that the dramatic results of RT are enough for me to rewrite the books on scoliosis."
Similarly, Terry Friedman, M.D. of Colorado states that "these essential oils truly represent a new frontier in medicine; they have resolved cases that many professionals had regarded as hopeless."
Raindrop Technique is one of the safest, noninvasive techniques available for spinal health. It is also an invaluable tool to promote health from within using topically applied essential oils.
